In the beginning we had The Beach Boys and Jan and Dean. Then we had the Surf Punks. And now we have the one and only Gantez Warrior.

Partying down to as little clothes as possible, surfing, and chasing babes is all in a days work for Gantez Warrior. But the fun doesn’t stop there. They’re riding the wave of new music from Southern California.

Gantez Warrior, 3 young surf slaves from Costa Mesa, who’s musical roots go back to the adolescent angst of high school when they taught each other how to rock n’ roll, is going to be your new favorite band. Gantez isn’t caught up by the pretentions of the big city that kills the fun. Instead, they stay true to the fun and fantastic ways of the sun, sand, and sea: living the dream and singing about it. No other band I’ve heard as of late represents the authentic purity of the beach communities of Southern California.

Through the backing of the Southern California clothing label, Warriors of Radness, they’ve spent the past year in the studio recording their first tracks with producer Mickey Petralia (Flight of the Concords, Beck, Peaches, etc). Their first single, “I Like to Surf”/”Wax” and their respective videos shot by the great Jack Coleman, is taking America by storm swell just in time for their West Coast tour. With more singles and videos on the way, GW is kicking off the summer with residencies, tours, record store appearances, parties, parties, parties, and even gigs at the highly select shops that the Warriors line sells to.

Get in the know.
